Every activity is different and needs different time frames. From a single event to ongoing projects, you will need to decide what best meets your needs.
Single events
Single events are usually one or two-day activities that involve volunteers cleaning up or conducting awareness raising activities.
This could involve a cleanup of your local community or a workshop.
Ongoing projects
Ongoing projects are where communities address things such as the causes of environmental problems rather than their symptoms, and develop effective and sustainable solutions for long-term environmental benefit.
This can be anything from tree planting or education programs to the development of clean waterways.
For more example events see our Clean Up the World case studies or visit the Clean Up the World Activity Report 2007 .
